Financial Accountant

A Financial Accountant is needed to support the Accounting & Finance department of a Aviation company. The individual will be responsible for maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers, as well as performing general bookkeeping and accounting work.

Description

Financial Accountant responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyse financial reports and records
• Perform general bookkeeping
• Ensure financial reporting deadlines are met
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities
• Monitor and support taxation requirements
• Prepare for financial audit and coordinate the audit process
• Oversee accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

• A degree in Accounting or Finance
• Studying towards a professional accounting qualification from an accredited body
• Experience with financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent
• Strong understanding of economic and banking processes
• Strong analytical skills
• Positive, proactive, and can-do attitude towards tasks and challenges
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• SAP knowledge is desirable, but not essential
