Financial Accountant

Our client, a leading company in Felixstowe, are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial accounting operations, including the preparation of monthly and annual accounts.
• Prepare and manage financial reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and international accounting standards.
• Work closely with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Manage tax calculations, VAT returns, and other regulatory filings.
• Provide financial analysis and advice to senior management to aid in decision-making.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements in line with deadlines.
• Provide advice on direct and indirect tax matters.
• Ensuring necessary and appropriate internal controls are in place throughout the organisation and that these are reviewed on a continuing basis.

Key Skills:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with relevant post qualification experience.
• Previous experience in a financial accounting role
• Strong understanding of UK accounting regulations and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
