Financial Accounting Manager: �50k DOE - Livingston (Hybrid)

My client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our management team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing financial activities within the organisation, ensuing compliance with regulations, and providing strategic guidance to Senior Management.

As Financial Accounting Manager, you will manage a team of 3 responsible for all aspects of the financial reporting process including commentary and financial insights. Moreover, you will be charge with leading systems and process improvement projects to ensure finance is aptly serving the businesses strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support and develop a small finance team with support from the Head of Finance
  • Oversee the production of monthly financial results, ensuring reports are accurate and timely
  • Setting and driving project timetable, ensuring all financial reporting, systems and processes are fit for purpose and adding value
  • Prepare and submit the statutory accounts for the group and its sub-entities in line with accounting regulation
  • Play a key role in the external audit process, liaising with external audit partners where necessary and handing RFIs and queries
  • Partnering with other business areas including IT and operations to ensure strong collaboration and alignment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems, financial modelling software, and Microsoft Excel.
