Job Description
Client Finance Analyst - Media & Communications Agency - Central London - Paying £25,000 + Study Support - Hybrid
We are recruiting a Client Finance Analyst for a leading media communications agency, part of a globally recognised media network. They are publicly listed and operate under a renowned marketing communications umbrella.
As the Financial Analyst, you will join the Commercial Finance team, working closely with the Commercial Finance Manager and overseeing a portfolio of clients.
Your role will involve building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, including Account teams and Shared Finance, which handles client billing and supplier payments.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Commercial Finance Manager in ensuring the financial stability of assigned accounts and adherence to agency financial processes.
Serve as the main financial liaison for the Account team and Shared Finance.
Generate and analyse client KPI reports post month-end.
Ensure timely and accurate booking of all media commitments into the media system by the account team.
Support the Account team and Revenue Accountant in monitoring fee invoicing and addressing revenue recognition queries.
Oversee client billing and unbilled accounts, considering cash flow impacts.
Compare actual spend against approved client budgets and perform purchase order reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with client and agency procedures.
Track client invoice status and manage queries.
Oversee unpaid media from suppliers and assist in resolving payables queries to prevent supplier suspension risks.
Maintain and update client financial process documentation to promote best practices.
Identify and implement process improvements as needed.
Assist the Finance Director and Commercial Manager with client audits.
Support with agency ad-hoc tasks and client reporting duties.
Requirements:
Recently graduating from University - Accounting & Finance Degree
Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to solve problems effectively.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and SUMIFS.
Proactive mindset
Passion for Media & Communications
Ideally Degree within Finance or Economics
Started or seeking to begin Accounting Qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
