Financial Assistant



To work as part of the Finance team, assisting the Finance Manager with a variety of Tasks and Projects. Taking overall responsibility for credit control, running and maintaining EDI communication system and maintaining bank transactions including receipts and regular bank reconciliations.



GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Reconciling Bank accounts

  • Credit control for all customers

  • Assist with Month End procedures including closing ledgers and creating financial reports

  • Processing for Government and Trade Association returns

  • VAT returns

  • Maintain Farm Books and Accounts

  • EDI invoicing with customers

  • Assist with payments and paperwork for the website sales

  • Understudy Purchase Ledger & Sales Invoicing and provide holiday and sickness cover

  • Other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL                                         




  • Sound educational background

  • Accounts experience

  • Interest in food & baking

  • Good IT skills

  • Ability to collaborate

  • Good at problem solving

  • Personable, tactful and diplomatic

  • Well organised with attention to detail

  • Self-starter who takes ownership

  • Enjoys problem solving



DESIRABLE




  • Degree standard education

  • Experience of Zero or Access Dimensions

  • AAT/ACCA qualifications

  • Excellent communicator, verbal & written
