We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a well-established business in Birmingham City Centre on a temporary contract basis. This role will be focused on assisting with the winding down of the business, supporting the accounts function, and ensuring a smooth transition during the closure process.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the accounting function, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the winding-down process.
Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Manage cash flow and ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address financial matters.
Assist with the finalisation of accounts and ensure all liabilities are accounted for.
Provide advice and support to senior management on financial and accounting matters during this transition period.
Key Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a Financial Controller or similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
Experience with managing accounts during a business closure or transition.
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information:
Choice of hours: 7am - 3:30pm Monday to Thursday & 7am - 12pm on Friday OR 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Thursday & 8am - 1pm on Friday.
