A Financial Controller is needed for a growing Structural Steel company in North Yorkshire that has recently transitioned to PLC status. This role offers the opportunity to become a shareholder as part of the employment package.
Position: Full-time, Hybrid
Salary: �50,000 - �55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Reporting to: Managing Director
In this role, you will be:
- Overseeing finance operations.
- Producing and analysing monthly Management Accounts.
- Preparing financial reports and dashboards.
- Managing BACS payments and expenses.
- Maintaining banking relationships and the fixed asset register.
- Responsible for the balance sheet and reconciliations.
- Addressing queries from customers, suppliers, and HMRC.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Supervising year-end processes and liaising with auditors.
- Overseeing payroll.
- Managing HR functions, including recruitment.
- Handling company insurance and IT.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- Previous line management experience.
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above.
- AAT Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification.
- Proficiency in Sage Accounting and Sage Payroll software.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Aptitude for financial figures and ability to work independently.
