Financial Controller

NXTGEN has an excellent opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a well established business. The Financial Controller will be a highly organised, efficient, and accurate individual with a keen eye for detail. This role as a Financial Controller involves overseeing, managing, and reporting on the financial position, producing and managing monthly financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and analysis. Additionally, the role as Financial Controller provides advice and guidance on financial matters to enable sound business decisions and ensure compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include:

• Producing key financial information for the group of companies.
• Supporting and challenging the Operational Management team to achieve budgeted targets.
• Ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place and maintained.
• Preparing year-end statutory accounts and audit schedules.
• Overseeing salary payroll processing and wages payroll processing.
• Ensuring HMRC compliance and reporting, including VAT returns, P11d, and PSA.
• Resolving queries in financial records.
• Preparing and presenting monthly financial information, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow, and other reports.
• Preparing data analysis, showing trends or changes.
• Preparing annual budgets.
• Providing line management and guidance to other finance team members.

For this position you will need to have a strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, experience in financial management and an excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. You will need to hold an ACCA/CIMA qualification, be Part Qualified or Qualified by experience

The salary offered is dependant on qualifications and experience
