Engineering Group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has a requirement for Financial Controller to undertake a newly created position as a result of a period of organic growth and acquisition. What will the Financial Controller role involve?
- Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the key responsibilities of the Financial Controller position will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts including KPI’s, P&L and cash-flow and review and analyse monthly financials;
- Assisting with the annual budgeting process and undertaking monthly reforecasting, providing detailed analysis of any variances;
- Support the Group Financial Controller in the provision of statutory and compliance reporting, collation of audit information and preparation of analysis for statutory disclosures;
- Reporting of all business taxes including VAT, ensuring full reconciliation with detailed ledgers;
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller vacancy:
- Applicants for the position will ideally hold a full accountancy qualification with previous experience of working within a similar position or looking to make their first move out of Public Practice;
- The client is open to the background of the successful applicant and will consider candidates from both SME environments and larger multi-national organisations on the understanding that the role will be hands on and the successful individual must be comfortable being hands-on;
- As the role will involve extensive liaison with key non-finance managers throughout the business, applicants must possess excellent communication skills;
- Previous working knowledge of SAP B1 would be advantageous.
