Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9am – 5.30pm)

Based in the Chelmsford location they are on the lookout for a Financial Controller to join their fast-growing business.
This is a hands-on Financial Controller role ideal for someone who is not only great with managing a business from a financial aspect but you must also be a leader of people. Duties & Responsibilities of a Financial Controller:
- Managing the accounts department team and the financial operations of the business.
- Assist in the growth of the company by being a senior manager within the business, helping drive performance, inspire others and set a great example.
- Working closely with the Directors to advise on financial affairs.
- Devising, developing and delivering strategies.
- Identify any opportunities and lead negotiations.
- Manage key relationships (both internal and external) for the organisation.
- Preparing and completing monthly management accounts.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cashflow forecasts to support financial planning.
- Preparing end-of-year accounts and assisting with the audit process as required.
- Managing and overseeing the sales and purchase ledger.
- Accurate data reporting to management.
- Providing accurate financial reporting.
- Mitigate threats and maximise returns.
Your Background & Skill:
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller.
- Ability to inspire, lead and drive a team as part of a senior management team.
- Fully Qualified (CIMA / ACCA) is desirable.
- Desire to progress your career as the company grows.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well on own and in a team.
- Ability to manage relationships, internally and externally.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
