We are seeking a diligent Financial Controller to manage the accounting function and two direct reports. This role is based in Heathfield and will require excellent financial oversight skills and a keen eye for detail.

Description

As the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee all financial operations preparing financial statements.
  • Coordinate, analyse and report the financial performance to senior management.
  • Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
  • Oversee the accounts payable and receivables process.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Manage the preparation of the company's budget and report on variances and their causes.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, analysis, and information reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • Professional qualification such as AAT / ACCA / CIMA or QBE or similar will be considered a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP).
  • High proficiency in financial management and financial software.
  • Strong ethics, with a customer-oriented attitude.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
