Financial Controller

A fast-growing manufacturing business are looking for a Financial Controller role. This is a key role in a highly successful and continuously expanding business based in London. This person will run a dynamic team of finance professionals taking responsibility for financial controls, reporting and partnering to the business. This is a fantastic time to join a business in an exciting new growth phase which will include diversification and business acquisitions.
Duties:

• Take the lead in initiating change in processes and systems implementation.
  
• Performing month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and coordinating and assigning duties to the accounting teams as needed.
  
• Preparation of variance analysis on both the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
• Evaluating departmental performance and making adjustments to daily operations when needed to ensure the department meets overall goals and objectives.
  
• Responsible for maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accurate and reliable information.
• Ensure the financial processes are robust, with appropriate controls and reconciliations.
• Management and timely closure of both internal and external audits.
• Proposing solutions to streamline current processes/activities.
• Overseeing and supporting the preparation and review of account reconciliations.
• Reviewing and approving Journal Entries.
• Partnering with the Business to accomplish key objectives and KPIs.
• Ensuring statutory filings and audits are completed timely.
• Completing of all tax returns, including but not limited to corporation tax, VAT returns and transfer pricing, working closely with external tax advisors and tax department.

Experience/Key attributes:

• Proven experience in driving change and process improvements
  
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience within a finance function, operating in a financial controller role
• Ideally have experience within manufacturing or FMCG industries
  
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong influencing skills
• Excellent attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and quality
