Financial Controller (Clear Progression to Finance Director)
Simpson Judge are exclusively partnered with a leading SME who is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join the team. With clear progression to Finance Director, this role will be integral in shaping and driving the financial strategy of the business, offering a unique opportunity for growth.
Location: Office based role, within Commutable Distance from Warrington, Runcorn, St Helens and Knowsley
Salary: �70,000-�75,000 plus company car/car allowance and bonus
Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Executive team to shape the company's financial strategy, aligning with broader business goals and driving financial stability and growth
• Lead the preparation of forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans. Provide in-depth financial analysis to support critical decision making
• Oversee the preparation of financial reporting for key stakeholders, including the Managing Director, Board, and external parties (investors, auditors, etc)
• Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital, including implementing strategies to optimise liquidity and mitigate financial risks
• Spearhead cost control initiatives, drive operational efficiencies and identify opportunities to improve profitability across the business
• Analysis of market trends and regulatory changes to provide strategic insights on the impact on financial operations
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure alignment with business goals

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualifications, ideally 5 years post qualified experience
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller in an SME
• Experience in the telecoms industry would be advantageous
• Experienced Sage 200/50 user
• Experienced PowerBI user
