Financial Director

Space 8 Recruitment are searching for a Qualified Financial Director for our R&D client based in Coventry. This role could suit a Financial Controller looking to make a move to Financial Director level, or could suit someone who is already a Financial Director looking for an exciting new opportunity.

The Company

This R&D company is growing and has been for some time. They are based close to Warwick University, in beautiful premises, and have been established for over 20 years. (t/o £58m)

The Role

Managing a team of 9 in finance including 2 part timers
Managing the day to day activities of the finance team
Developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company's goals, including budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
Advising the MD and Board on all financial activities, sanity checking all decisions from a financial perspective
Preparation of the statutory accounts and oversight of the management accounts
Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders.
Identifying and mitigating financial risks, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and corporate governance standards.
Deciding pricing on all new and existing goods
First point of contact for auditors
