Fraser Edwards are currently recruiting an Fire Alarm Engineer for a permanent role.



Our client is a well-established, leading Social Housing Contractor and due to continued growth, is expanding its electrical team. The business has continued to flourish over recent years and this new role is a great chance to be part of its exciting future. The post holder will assume responsibility for completing all jobs assigned to them by the company which will include, but not limited to, Fire Alarm & AOV Installation, Reactive Maintenance and Planned Maintenance. Opportunity for promotion to Fire alarm supervisor based on performance



Works will be completed in a variety of properties including domestic and commercial, mainly social housing or council properties



Primary Job Functions




  • Where necessary interpret fire alarm or AOV drawings and specifications for a Fire or AOV install and be able to work with these accordingly.

  • Work in a safe and orderly manor in accordance with the current health and safety and Fire Alarm Regulations and standards.

  • Have a good knowledge of different types of Fire Alarm controls and equipment including Closed Protocol Systems.

  • Maintain Fire Alarm and AOV Systems and be able to repair/adapt where necessary.

  • Carry out full installations and adaptions to existing fire alarm systems.

  • Fill out all paperwork and/or use the Oneserve Application accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Complete all electrical work in accordance with BS 7671 & Amendment 3 BS5839 of current Fire Alarm regulations.

  • To undertake any training provided by the company

  • To fully participate with performance improvement programmes, including appraisals

  • To liaise with office staff and supervisors to assist in the resolving of queries



Required Skills




  • Good knowledge of the Fire & AOV industry

  • Experience of working from mobile devices is essential to complete job sheets electronically Good communication with customers

  • Administrative skills

  • Positive attitude and time keeping

  • Confidence and experience to be able to work alone



Qualifications




  • Level 3 Electrical installation.

  • FIA training.

  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience.

  • The FIA AO Level 3 in Fire Detection and Alarm Design Theory and Regulatory Requirements



You must have a full UK driving license for at least 12 month
