Position: Fire Alarm Engineer

Location: Various (Notts, Derbyshire, High Peak)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Salary: Starting at �15.50 per hour, with an annual basic wage of �34,255

Job Description: As a Fire Alarm Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:




  • Quarterly Testing: Conducting regular inspections and testing of Part 6 Fire Alarm (FA) systems, ensuring residential properties meet safety standards.

  • Part 1 Systems Testing: Performing comprehensive testing on Part 1 FA systems in commercial and industrial settings, ensuring all components function correctly and comply with regulations.

  • Emergency Lighting: Inspecting and testing emergency lighting systems, ensuring they are operational and compliant with safety standards.



Your duties will involve meticulous testing, fault diagnosis, minor repairs, and providing detailed reports on the condition and functionality of the systems.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Perform quarterly testing and maintenance of Part 6 and Part 1 Fire Alarm systems.

  • Inspect and maintain emergency lighting systems.

  • Provide detailed and accurate reports of inspections and tests.

  • Maintain a high standard of safety and compliance in all tasks.

  • Participate in the on-call rota after three months, with the potential for additional earnings.



Requirements:




  • Qualifications: Ideally, applicants should have Level 1 and 2 Fire Fundamentals certifications.

  • Experience: Proven experience in the fire alarm industry is essential.

  • Strong understanding of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems.

  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.
