We are recruiting for a Fire Alarm Service Engineer for one of our Clients, a well-established M&E Sub-contractor.
The Fire Alarm Service Engineer will manage and undertake maintenance of life safety systems.
Responsibilities:
• Undertaking planned preventive maintenance on fire alarm, smoke control and life safety systems.
• Carry out periodic testing of residential life safety systems across multiple sites in central London.
• Produce maintenance reports and log defects.
• Rectify faults and defects.
• Maintain client stock (spares) levels.
• Carry out safe isolations.
• Provide training to customers and colleagues as required.
• Liaise with other specialist maintenance contractors.
• Working with other members of a maintenance team.
• Attend training courses when necessary.
Skills and experience required:
• Ability to demonstrate core knowledge of fire detection and fire alarm system maintenance work (including BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations).
• Have a regulated qualification in BS 5839-1 with maintenance content (Level 3 or higher).
• Good attention to detail in order to ensure that all paperwork is correctly completed, and procedures are followed within the allotted timescales.
• Maintain a strong working relationship & good communication between the client and company at all times.
• Ensure tasks are delivered in line with contractual requirements.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• The ability to carry out safe isolation.
• A broad IT knowledge, i.e. Windows, Excel, etc.
• Be prepared to work on call on rotation.
• Ensure good timekeeping and housekeeping.

Duration: Full Time
Working hours: 8:00am-5pm Monday-Thursday and 8:00am-4pm on Friday
