Alecto Recruitment are assisting a leading Facilities Maintenance contractor based in London, who are looking to appoint a Fire Alarm Service Engineer to oversee 6 prestigious sites across the central London area.

Working hours: 8:00am - 17:00pm Monday-Thursday and 8:00am-16:00pm on Friday

Required: ASAP

Own tools required. Specialist tools will be provided.

Own vehicle/transport required.

Duties:

• Identifying technical issues with the systems being worked on and carrying out corrective actions.
• Identifying potential remedial works or variations during PPM/reactive visits.
• Leading and undertaking planned preventive maintenance on fire alarm and smoke control systems.
• Produce maintenance reports and defects logs.
• Rectify faults and defects.
• Maintain client stock (spares) levels.
• Provide training to customers and colleagues as required.
• Liaise with other specialist maintenance contractors.
• Working with other members of a maintenance team.
• Attend training courses when necessary.

What we are looking for:

• Ability to demonstrate core knowledge of fire detection and fire alarm system maintenance work (including BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations).
• Experience working on CCTV and access control would be beneficial but not required.
• Good attention to detail in order to ensure that all paperwork is correctly completed, and procedures are followed within the allotted timescales.
• Maintain a strong working relationship & good communication between the client and company at all times.
• Ensure tasks are delivered in line with contractual requirements.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• A broad IT knowledge, i.e. Windows, Excel, etc.
• Be prepared to work on call on rotation.
• A team player with the ability to work from their own initiative.
