Job Title: Fire Damper Engineer.
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Salary / Benefits �24k - �40k + Training + Benefits
We are working with a multi-disciplined Environmental Consultancy who specialise in delivering Fire Safety services. They are now looking to take on a qualified and competent Fire Damper Engineer. The role will be covering Yorkshire and the North West region, working across Educational, Hospitality, Healthcare, Leisure, Manufacturing, and Industrial sites. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working on fire dampers carrying out maintenance, installation, and servicing in line with BS 9999 guidelines. Covering Yorkshire / North West region and the surrounding areas: Bradford, Keighley, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Huddersfield, Blackburn, Burnley, Preston, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Stockport, Warrington, Macclesfield, Buxton, Crewe, Chester, Liverpool, Birkenhead, St Helens, Bolton, Wallasey.
Experience & Qualifications:
" Will ideally hold an industry recognised qualification e.g., BESA fire damper.
" Will have experience working for a reputable Fire Safety company as an engineer.
" Excellent time management skills.
" Excellent knowledge of BS 9999 standards.
" Excellent IT skills.
" Able to work well independently and as a team.
" Excellent communication skills.
The Role:
" Working on Educational, Hospitality, Healthcare, Leisure Manufacturing, and Industrial sites, carrying out maintenance, installation, and servicing of fire dampers, ensuring they adhere to BS 9999 standards.
" Inspecting fire doors.
" Installing fire dampers in line with manufacturing requirements and relevant guidelines.
" Using information from site to produce detailed reports.
" Working in line with relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
" Liaising with clients, providing technical support and advice based on site findings, advising on the current state of fire dampers.
Alternative Job titles: Fire Damper Engineer, Fire Damper Technician, Fire Engineer, Fire Stopper.
Overall the successful candidate will bring their excellent technical experience working in the fire risk industry and will demonstrate a strong work ethic. Prospective candidates must also be prepared to travel extensively as per client requirements.
