Job Title: Fire Damper Engineers (Lead & Junior)
Location: London and Surrounding Areas (Travel to Midlands Required)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated team of 2 Fire Damper Engineers, consisting of one Lead Engineer and one Junior Engineer, to join our growing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire dampers across a variety of commercial and residential properties. The role will be based in London and surrounding areas, with occasional travel to the Midlands as required for projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Engineer:
- Take charge of planning, supervising, and executing fire damper installations and maintenance.
- Carry out comprehensive inspections of fire dampers to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to the Junior Engineer.
- Complete detailed reports and documentation for completed jobs.
- Liaise with clients and project managers, ensuring that work is delivered on time and within budget.
- Junior Engineer:
- Assist the Lead Engineer in the installation, testing, and maintenance of fire dampers.
- Follow the guidance of the Lead Engineer and develop skills in fire safety engineering.
- Ensure tools and materials are prepared for projects and assist in keeping the worksite safe and organized.
- Support in completing job reports and documentation.
Requirements:
- Lead Engineer:
- Proven experience in fire damper installation and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of fire safety regulations and building compliance.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to train and mentor junior team members.
- Junior Engineer:
- Basic experience or qualifications in mechanical, HVAC, or fire safety systems.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the role.
- A positive attitude and willingness to travel and work alongside the Lead Engineer.
Both roles:
- Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites in the Midlands when required.
- Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety standards.
