We are seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor for one of our high-profile Housing Association clients. This vital role involves conducting fire risk assessments, audits, inspections, and surveys across our housing stock to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and minimise risk.

Day to day of the role:
  • Conducting comprehensive fire risk assessments on Type 1, 2, and 3 buildings.
  • Delivering 100% compliance for Fire Risk Assessments across the property portfolio.
  • Working collaboratively with a team of Fire Risk Assessors, applying an excellent knowledge of the FRA process to view fire risk holistically.
  • Identifying and accurately communicating necessary remedial works in assessments, ensuring alignment with recommended timeframes.
  • Providing technical fire safety advice to colleagues and acting as a point of contact for external organisations regarding fire safety.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Tier 2 accreditation via IFSM as a minimum (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
  • Valid nationally recognised fire safety qualifications such as NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE), or similar.
  • A recognised minimum grade 3 qualification within fire risk assessment such as the FPA, IFE, or similar, or registered by a competent body for FRA.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the fire safety industry.
  • Experience of carrying out FRAs in social housing.
  • Strong technical background with a clear understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and relevant fire safety legislation and guidance documents.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey fire risk and good fire safety practice effectively.

This role requires a Basic check with the Disclosure and Barring Service once an offer of employment is made, and a new check will be completed every three years.
