Fire Officer / Fire Risk Assessor| Home-based covering London sites | £47,800 - £57,300 + benefits An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire Officer to join an established Safety Team within the Property Services division of a large Housing Association. Reporting to the Senior Fire Officer, you will be responsible for providing specialist fire safety management & risk assessment services across residential buildings including High Rise, Sheltered / Care Schemes and Converted Street Properties.This is an incredibly worthwhile and rewarding role with an opportunity to make real difference to residents and the local community. With fire safety of paramount importance, Fire Officers conduct professional, suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessments (FRA) in accordance with statutory requirements as required by a programme and / or in response to incidents.The role includes developing, implementing and managing procedures and fire safety management in buildings, ensuring it is in-line with policy, best practice, regulatory and legislative requirements. You will be a self-motivated, professional individual who is able to provide high quality, confidential and trustworthy customer focused service. To be considered for this role candidates will demonstrate the following:Candidates will need to have a valid driving licence and access to a carAlready have obtained or be willing to work towards a Professional Fire Accreditation.Level 3 or 4 Certificate in Fire Risk Assessment and Fire Safety ManagementKnowledge and experience working with Fire Safety legislation and regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005Extensive experience of undertaking FRAs in the residential sectorUnderstanding of fire compliance within a housing association or local authorityKnowledge of Approved Documents and Industry GuidanceAbility to be able to work as part of a team both in the office and dispersedExcellent communication skills both verbal and written and be able to tailor communication for various internal and external stakeholdersUse of MS packages, training would be given on the trust bespoke systemsWant to find out more?
