Fire Risk Carpenter - £24 per hour

Fantastic opportunity for a professional Fire Risk Carpenter to work with the local council covering the Black country .

My client is looking for an experienced Fire Risk Carpenter to ensure building safety and compliance by installing, maintaining, and remediating fire doors and passive fire protection systems. You will work to strict fire safety regulations, ensuring adherence to fire compartmentation standards and current fire safety legislation.

Work will range from:

• install, inspect, and maintain fire doors and fire-rated timber components
• Conduct fire-stopping works using fire-resistant materials
• Assess and ensure compliance with fire safety standards
• Document work completed with photographic evidence and reports
• Collaborate with fire risk assessors and compliance teams
• Ensure all work meets Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) recommendations

Pay Rate: �24 - �25

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a carpenter, with specific experience in fire door installation and maintenance
• Knowledge of fire safety standards (BS 8214, BS 476, etc.) and passive fire protection systems
• Ability to work to specification and compliance requirements
• CSCS Card and relevant qualifications in fire door maintenance (preferred: BM TRADA / FIRAS certification)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
