About this opportunity
Lloyds Banking Group is the UK’s biggest Retail, Digital and Mobile bank with over 30 million customers, so we have a big responsibility to help Britain Prosper. We’re investing £3bn into our People, Platforms and Data to become the best bank for customers and rapidly transforming into a leading UK FinTech.
It's the role of CIO Enabling to provide the backbone / infrastructure upon which this bank operates. As the technical SME, they will expand and enhance technologies, integrate and optimise toolsets, lead project incidents, and protect internal and external customers.
You'll help protect 1 in 3 people in the UK who use our systems, along with our 10 million active online banking users. You need to make sure that you lead project and service improvement activities to a successful conclusion, so we can become the best bank for customers. This will involve working with a team of dedicated colleagues, developing with them and building capabilities.
In addition, you'll demonstrate an ability and desire to engage with programmes and initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, delivering their requirements and acting to prioritise and resolve issues within the team.
Your accountabilities will include:
Acting as a contact point for business engagement for this bank critical infrastructure.
Planning the implementation of complexed changes.
Delivering changes of all sizes for our customers.
Delivery of infrastructure and service improvement plans, including gateway upgrades and new builds.
Prioritisation, handling expectations and guiding the business through the firewall change process.
Why Lloyds Banking Group
We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone. Including you.
What you’ll need
You’ll be a networking/firewall expert, managing firewall changes in Check Point, Fortinet, and Cisco ASA. Hands-on experience in scoping and troubleshooting is required. Additionally, you'll understand networking, security principles and design concepts.
As part of our team, you'll work on developing long-term goals and handle firewall change remediation projects as the primary technical contact. This may involve identifying, collating, and understanding detailed information on project scope, feasibility, technical accuracy, and compliance.
