About the Job We are looking for a full time fitness instructor to supervise activities and customers within the gym, supporting customers to operate the equipment correctly and ensuring a safe, enjoyable and quality customer experience.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee Fitness Room activities and safely operate equipment to ensure the facility runs efficiently and effectively
Undertake day to day cleaning and maintenance of the equipment and fittings, to the highest possible standards and reporting any faults or major repairs to management
Help drive and manage activities at site that promote healthy lifestyles
Help create safe and effective programs with innovative ideas to meet customer needs
Help communicate and promote the center's services.
Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers, addressing and escalating complaints as needed and encouraging maximum usage of our products.
Maintain customer records of programme of activities and lifestyle programmes
Support and assist in sales and retention processes
Assist in the effective operations of the activity programme by coaching and teaching, where appropriate.
Devise and deliver fitness assessments, programmes and testing, exercise prescription, GP referrals and specialist inductions, as and when required (following appropriate training)
About you To be successful in this role, you will have a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification, or equivalent and ideally have previous experience working as a fitness instructor. Excellent communication skills and experience delivering first class customer service is also essential. Employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check & reference checks.
