Directly reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take the reins in managing and accounting for fixed assets and leases, playing a key part in driving operational excellence and compliance across the business. br As a Fixed Assets and IFRS 16 Leases Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining a highly accurate fixed asset register, ensuring all assets are properly recorded, valued, and reported. You will also ensure full compliance with the latest IFRS 16 lease standards, a critical area for the company's financial integrity. You will work closely with senior leadership and various stakeholders, offering valuable insights and expertise to drive better decision-making and cost management across EG On The Move. br What you’ll be doing: br Manage the asset register, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and transfers br Prepare and enforce compliance with IFRS/GAAP accounting policies br Oversee asset capitalisation and categorisation br Review monthly and annual reconciliations and ensure accurate depreciation calculations br Adjust asset depreciation schedules based on usage, conditions, or policy changes br Overseeing and implementing PO processes, including providing training to business stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations br Generate and analyse detailed capital expenditure (capex) reports, offering valuable insights to management and stakeholders for ROI assessments and site appraisals. br Collaborate with the FP&A team on budgeting for fixed assets and leases, while supporting external advisor requests related to capital allowances and R&D claims br Develop internal controls to protect assets and ensure financial reporting accuracy br Support audits by providing accurate asset data and documentation br Identify and classify leases under IFRS 16 (finance vs. operating leases) br Manage the lease database, ensuring accurate lease details and payment schedules br Oversee accounting for leasehold and subleases in line with IFRS 16 br Work with third parties to integrate a Sub Leasing tool into M D365 br Maintain lease amortisation schedules and ensure accurate expense recognition br Prepare and analyse reports on leased assets, including journal entries and lease liability reconciliations br Collaborate with the Property Team to ensure lease agreements meet IFRS 16 requirements br Provide training and support to finance and operations teams on lease accounting practices br This list is not comprehensive and may be updated or expanded as needed. br What’s in it for you? br Whether you're looking to build a long-term career as we expand across the UK or seeking a job with top benefits, we've got you covered: br Bonus Incentive br Upto 15% Retail & Food to Go discounts including Greggs, Starbucks, Subway, Popeyes, Cinnabon, Sbarro & Chaiiwala br Flexible Working Day (8am –10am start with an 8-hour workday) br Free On-site Parking br Waterside Café – Enjoy freshly prepared meals daily br On-site Prayer and Ablution Facilities br Employee Assistance program br Support for mental and financial well-being br Life insurance br Legal Assistance br Retail Discounts br Learning & Development opportunities to support your growth br Salary Sacrifice Pension br What we are looking for: br Fully qualified accountant with a recognised designation such as: ACA/ACCA/CIMA br Minimum of 3 years in accounting, with a focus on fixed asset management and lease accounting. At least 2 years in a managerial role is preferred br Strong understanding of IFRS 16 lease standards and their practical application in a corporate setting, along with knowledge of other IFRS standards and GAAP br Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., D365, SAP, or other ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills br Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and focus on accurate financial reporting br Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders br Proven leadership and teamwork abilities, with experience managing teams and collaborating across functions br Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment br Be a part of it: br As EG On the Move grows, we’re excited to welcome talented individuals to our team.
