FLT Driver - Middle Department

We are looking for FLT Drivers to work for our Trafford Park based client.

Summary of the FLT Driver position:

· The pay: £14 per hour

· The Location: Trafford Park (M17)

· The Hours: 4 on 6 off, 2 days (06:30 – 18:30) 2 nights (18:30 – 06:30).

· The Job: General FLT work and working with attachments in the Middle department.

· The Person: Must have a valid in-date FLT Counterbalance licence and be a reliable and trustworthy individual.

A successful FLT Driver might have/be:

· An in-date valid FLT Counterbalance licence is essential.

· Punctual and reliable to fulfil shift rotas.

· Be able to work extra shifts as required due to business needs and holiday cover.

· Must have good organisation skills.

· Be tidy.

· Must be trustworthy and responsible.

· Reliable and punctual.

· Good communication skills.

· Understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace.

· A strong work ethic.

Daily duties of an FLT Driver include:

· General FLT work and working with attachments (Bale clamps, Parent roll clamps & Pole).

· Unloading parent rolls from the papermaking dry end conveyor.

· Transporting parent rolls to their required destination, Production line, parent roll bridge or designated warehouse.

· Updating parent roll storage plans as per parent roll movements.

· Follow Fire roll procedures as per Papermaking Team leader.

· Transporting, storing and loading parent roll cores into magazine.

· Banding up used Parent roll cores ready for re-use or scrapping.

· Flexible work approach to training and working different areas as required, including manual tasks and slabbing / scrapping of defect product.

· Responsible for area standards – storing small /scrap / hold rolls in correct areas and general housekeeping.

· Complying with all site safety rules.

PPE and workwear

· Safety Boots and Hi Vis Vest required.
