MS554 - Food & Beverage Manager
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum DOE 
Location: Weston-super-Mare
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Food & Beverage Manager on behalf of one of our clients. To take complete control and accountability for the day-to-day food and beverage operations within the business, ensuring that all staff are meeting set criteria.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • To ensure all daily and weekly operational meetings within the business are happening.
  • To ensure the business, delivers the minimum brand standards in food and beverages.
  • Ensure all standard checklists are used as prescribed.
  • To empower team to be able to handle all customer feedback for positive and negative and record correctly.
  • Actively consider prevention, recovery and investigation of any complaints.
  • Undertaking the role as toastmaster as required.
  • To carryout quality training and coaching.
  • To ensure all service standards are maintained.
  • Ensure that standards for cleanliness are maintained.
  • Ensure that the team are correctly uniformed and understand the importance of hygiene.
  • Ensure that the team are punctual, polite, courteous and helpful to customers and colleagues.
  • Liaise with Line Manager, about preventative maintenance of department.
  • To prepare, check and monitor departmental forecasts and rotas to ensure they are in line with set budgets and meet the service and business needs.
  • Purchase/order departmental supplies, carry out stocktake and action any discrepancies.
  • Control departmental costs through correct storage and distribution of supplies.
  • To ensure the company health and safety, food safety and COSHH legislations are adhered to.
  • Onboarding new employees and conducting performance reviews.
  • Devise, agree and action training plans for the department, with Line and HR Manager
  • Liaise with Heads of Departments to ensure all internal learning and development tools are being used.
  • Must attend all H&S, fire and food training as directed by designated Line Manager.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrates management and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrates a basic understanding of human resource management.
  • Demonstrates a competence in training / presentation skills.
  • Flexible approach to work and location.
  • Attend BIIAB training.
  • Carry out Duty Management as and when required.
  • Flexible and adapts quickly and positively.
  • Communicates clearly and openly both verbally and in writing.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to learn and develop from experiences
  • Able to delegate.
  • Applies knowledge and experience when making calculated risks to achieve results.
  • Sets and strives to achieve high personal performance standards.
  • Motivates and inspires their team to perform and ensure goals are achieved. 
  • To undertake any other projects as discussed and set by General Manager.
