Job brief: Working within a busy office you will report to the Managing Director and will lead all areas of Quality, Safety and Legality within the business. Your goal will be to help us ensure that our products meet customer expectations and ensure that Food Safety, Legality and Integrity is maintained. Job Type: Full-timePermanent Schedule 36 hoursMonday to Friday Work Location: In person preferable Responsibilities include, but not limited to: To maintain the Quality Manual and systems to the required BRCGS and customer standards To liaise with customers and suppliers regarding any quality or food safety issues To approve, manage & maintain suppliers and service providers To liaise with the supply base to ensure compliance with supplier approval criteria To work with Procurement and Sales ensuring that all product meets the required standards To ensure internal, second-party, and third-party audits are managed effectively To manage the HACCP team, including carrying out reviews, updating risk assessments, hazard analysis and product flows Todeal with customer complaints and non-conformances in a timely manner, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and monitored To address any issues that may impact the safety, authenticity, legality, or quality of goods, as applicable Completion and updating of Kendal and customer specifications Managing traceability throughout the supply chain. To oversee and manage the training schedule, ensuring timely delivery of training for staff To work with staff to promote a positive food safety culture. Requirements: Clean UK/EU driving license Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience working in Quality / Technical role. Third level qualification Degree or HNC/D in a relevant food related discipline or proven relevant experience. Ability to effectively plan and organise to meet deadlines. Strong IT skills and an ability to record and present information in a concise format. The ability to work well under pressure and to play your role in a busy team environment.
