As a Food Technology Teacher, you will inspire students to explore their creativity and develop essential life skills. You will deliver engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum and encourage a love for cooking and nutrition.

Responsibilities of the Food Tech Teacher:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality Food Technology lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Develop creative and practical lesson plans that engage and motivate students.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure success.
• Promote health, safety, and hygiene standards within the classroom and kitchen environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and best practices.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities or events.

Requirements of the Food Technology Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Specialism in Food Technology or a relevant subject area.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• A proactive approach to professional development and continuous learning.
• Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
