Food Technology Teacher & Curriculum Leader - Make a Difference in a Thriving School Community
Are you a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher with a flair for leadership?
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our teams across various SEN schools in the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and shape the delivery of a unique and impactful food curriculum, inspiring young minds and empowering them with valuable life skills.
About the Role:

  • Curriculum Leadership: You will be responsible for designing and monitoring the food curriculum across all Key Stages (KS1-KS5), including Medical, ensuring a consistent and engaging learning experience for all students.
  • Team Leadership: You will lead a team of 6 dedicated staff in the delivery of their "Cook and Eat" program, a unique initiative that involves students in the preparation of hot food for the whole school community.
  • BTEC Expertise: You will ensure compliance with Food Standards across all sites and support the development of staff in delivering this core subject school-wide, including the BTEC qualification.
  • Living Skills Focus: You will champion the "Cook and Eat" program, which emphasises the crucial living skills students need to live a full and healthy life.

  • A qualified Food Technology Teacher (QTS) with a proven track record of successful teaching.
  • Strong leadership and curriculum development skills.
  • Experience in delivering practical food technology lessons and assessing student work.
  • A passion for food and a commitment to inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and supportive approach.
  • A willingness to work across multiple sites and contribute to the wider life of the school.
