Job Title: Forge Operative

Location: Halesowen

Salary: £25,000

Shift Patterns: Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:00 & Friday 07:30-15:30

Oliver Rae is seeking a Forge Operative to join a thriving business. This role offers plenty career development!

Responsibilities:

• Learn and perform NDT inspection in all disciplines, using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) and Visual Inspection (VI) techniques in line with defined specifications and approved procedures.
• Carry out all daily NDT checks as directed by supervision.
• Report any NDT related issues to NDT Supervisor or Test House Manager.
• Maintaining required personal qualifications and records, PCN, etc.
• Supporting internal and external audits relevant to NDT.
• Work and adhere to HSE and Environmental guidelines on site
• Maintain and promote 5S in NDT area.
• To perform such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility as requested by NDT Supervisor or Test House Manager.

Requirements:

• Experienced in Forge / Foundry is essential for this role.
• Experience in Quality is preferred.
• Must be confident reading drawings, measuring and testing.
• Must be confident to report on findings.
