Forklift Operator/Warehouse Operative

Vanta Staffing High Wycombe are looking for a Forklift Operator (must have a current counterbalance licence) to work in a busy warehouse in Wooburn Green.

7am-4pm Monday to Thursday
7am-1pm Friday
Duties of the Forklift Operator:
-Operate a forklift safely and efficiently, conducting pre-use checks and reporting any issues.
- Manual handling, picking and packing orders.
- Stock counting, and dealing with goods-in operations - receive and check incoming deliveries, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Responsible for warehouse maintenance.
- Carry out safe and effective manual handling of goods and materials.
- Cutting plastic sheets for Vac forming operations.
- Complete daily forklift and ladder check sheets, ensuring equipment safety and adherence to regulations.
- Support the Warehouse Supervisor in various duties to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Key skills required for the Forklift Operator:
· Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
· Forklift license (Counterbalance and/or Reach) is required.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfilment.
· Ability to perform manual handling tasks and lift heavy items safely.
· Experience in stock counting and inventory control is desirable.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
· Understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
