Forklift Operator

Right Now Group are recruiting for a Forklift Operative to join our client, a large cargo ground handler at Heathrow!

The role is working within a dynamic and busy warehouse environment alongside the client's airline partners, ensuring their cargo is delivered safely and securely around the world!

\n

Duties and Responsibilities of a Forklift Operative:

\n

\n
• Loading and unloading vehicles carrying a variety of cargo using a forklift truck and other mechanical equipment, as well as performing some manual handling.
\n
• You will be expected to use hand-held devices to locate and identify cargo.
\n
• Process paperwork in accordance with our clients' requirements.
\n
• Handling special cargo products
\n
• Building and breaking pallets
\n
• Manual handling
\n
• Screening cargo
\n
• Preparing and palletizing cargo as needed.
\n

\n

Skills required to be a Forklift Operative:

\n

\n
• Forklift License (counterbalance or reach) is essential.
\n
• Promote Health & Safety to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
\n
• Able to travel to Feltham and Heathrow
\n
• Previous warehouse experience is essential.
\n
• We will need to be able to complete Pre-employment checks. This will include a 5-year checkable employment / education history, DBS check (criminal record check)
\n

Additional Information:

\n
• Location: Feltham /Heathrow
\n
• Shifts: You will be required to work a shift pattern consisting of 4 on 4 off. This will be a mixture of days and nights in the following format:
\n
• Hours: 07:00 - 19:00 (2 days) / 19:00 - 07:00 (2 nights)
\n
• Salary: £26,500 - £28,500
\n
• Bonus: 1200 Attendance Bonus paid end of the year
\n
