We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our client's Fostering Team in South Wales. In this role, you will support foster carers and ensure the well-being of children in foster placements. Your work will involve assessing potential foster carers, supervising and supporting foster families, and ensuring all safeguarding standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and approve potential foster carers.
- Provide supervision, support, and guidance to foster carers.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children in foster care.
- Develop and review care plans, working closely with multi-agency teams.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
- Participate in foster carer training and development.
Qualifications:
- Qualified social worker (BA/MA in Social Work).
- Registration with Social Care Wales or equivalent.
- Proven experience in fostering, child protection, or family support services.
Contract Details:
- 6-month contract, 37 hours per week.
- Hybrid working model: 3 days in the office, with flexibility to work from home.
- Candidates must have a current DBS and be registered with Social Care Wales.
Start Date: Immediate start required.
