Job Advertisement: Social Worker - Fostering Team
Location: Split office base - Workington and Barrow in Furness
Salary: £50 per hour
Contract: Hybrid working

The Fostering Team plays a crucial role in providing stable and supportive homes for children in need. The Role:

They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join their Fostering Team. The successful candidate will work across our split office bases in Workington and Barrow in Furness, with the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

Assessing and supporting prospective foster carers.
Conducting regular visits and providing ongoing support to foster families.
Ensuring that foster placements comply with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.
Working collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency teams to promote the welfare and development of children in foster care.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training.
Requirements:

A degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and current registration with Social Work England.
Proven experience in fostering or children's services.
Strong assessment and report-writing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to travel between Workington and Barrow in Furness, and to work from home as required.
A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
