Venari Finance are delighted to be retained by our key high growth PE backed client in Edinburgh to recruit a newly created FP&A Manager. The role has been created due to a number of recent high profile acquisitions for our client.
The role will report directly into the Head of FP&A and will provide the successful individual with great exposure across the business, both in Scotland and Internationally.
The FP&A Manager will play a critical role in supporting the finance function as well as the wider business. This role will be responsible for providing insights and analysis to drive strategic decision-making, supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes, and working closely with various departments to ensure financial targets are met.
This would suit a qualified individual with strong excel experience, either making a move from the profession or previous FP&A Industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, including variance analysis and financial performance metrics.
- Provide insightful analysis of financial results and trends to senior management.
- Be responsible for the creation of analysis on new acquisitions – this will be highly visible in the business and help drive GTM strategy.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly board reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, periodic forecasts and weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Collaborate with department heads to gather and validate budget assumptions.
- Monitor and report on budget vs. actual performance, highlighting key variances and potential risks.
Business Partnering:
- Work closely with various departments to provide financial insights and support operational decision-making.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand business needs and challenges.
- Communicate financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
Candidate Background:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA or ACA).
- Experience in an FP&A role, preferably within a high-growth or PE-backed business or in Corporate Finance/Financial Due Diligence environment.
- Have excellent analytical skills and be highly competent on Excel. It is essential that the candidate is able to manually work with large datasets from multiple different sources.
- Ability to interpret business performance, to identify anomalies, trends and business reasons for change.
- A strong communicator and excel at creating clear presentations, reports and financial analysis.
