Freelance Quantity Surveyor

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor�on behalf of the Highways arm of a Tier 1�Infrastructure Construction main contractor, immediately available to begin.

This reputable civils contractor are currently in need of a Freelance / Contracting Quantity Surveyor�to supplement their strong commercial team. The work is a 6 month long contract covering a Highways Scheme near Coventry. This contractor has a global expertise in transport solutions and has won several awards within it's field.�

This role is based on site in Coventry, Stoneleigh�

Duties as Quantity Surveyor:

� Commercial reporting including forecasting and wider project performance

� Work alongside operational team to produce accurate End Life Forecasts

� Manage client interface

� Risk management including change control and WIP management

� Contract Administration

� Provision of contractual advice to the project delivery team

� Aid in subcontract procurement and placement, ensuring best value for money and lowest risk achieved at all times

� Payment and debt management

� Post project appraisals and feedback loop to T & E team

� Attend internal and external (Client) meetings

� Final account compilation / submission

Experience Required as Quantity Surveyor:

� Must have experience working as Quantity Surveyor for a civil engineering / infrastructure construction�contractor ideally highways and general civils focused.

� Must come from a Quantity Surveyor background on similar projects.

� Must have strong knowledge and experience working with NEC suite of contracts.

Remuneration:

On offer is a day rate of up to �500�per day (dependant upon experience)�
