Freight Forwarder / Exports

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a person to join our client in Belfast who specialises in International Ocean Freight Services along with general Freight Forwarding activities.

Our client has become one of the most successful International Ocean Freight providers in Northern Ireland and they are looking to hire a Freight Forwarding Manager

The candidate hired for this role will be responsible for the overall delivery and quality of the businesses services whilst ensuring the customer experience is of the highest level.

Our client is looking for a driven and ambitious individual that will bring a positive and friendly attitude to daily operations and assist in the growth of the business.

You will have a strong working knowledge of the Northern Ireland market as well as a strong understanding of the Freight Forwarding sector. A day-to-day hands-on approach is needed.

Duties Include:

• Dealing with all deep sea freight shipments
• Monitoring/arranging urgent shipments.
• Providing excellent customer service
• Creating shipment files for import consignments
• Liaising with overseas agents
• Invoicing and administration relating to the above

Criteria/ Experience Required

• Previous experience with deep sea freight is essential - must have Ocean Freight (Exports & Imports)
• Good communication skills - verbal and written
• Planning and forecasting.
• Strong communication skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of customs

Salary- Negotiable but subject to experience.
