Freight forwarding personnel

We are looking for Freight Forwarding personnel to join our team in the Lowestoft area. In this role you will be responsible for arranging freight (Air, Road & Sea) shipments from beginning to end and maintaining and providing great service throughout the process. You must have previous freight forwarding experience and a good understanding of the necessary processes and documents.

Duties

• Arrange, book and monitor cargo shipments on land, air and sea. With knowledge of all processes and documents involved.


• Liaising with all departments from the client to the hauliers, airlines, shipping agents, customs etc.


• Track the journey of goods and provide feedback to the client of timings etc.


• Processing and raising invoices.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years previous freight forwarding experience within a similar environment


• HND would be beneficial but not essential.


• Customer service


• Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other freight software experience.

Your hours of work would be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
