French Teacher

We are seeking a motivated and skilled French Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Wakefield. This is a full-time position, starting in January 2025. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach French across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a focus on engaging students and helping them excel in their language studies.

Requirements:

• QTS/PGCE in French or a related subject.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Passion for teaching French and an ability to engage and motivate students.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Experience of teaching French to secondary-age students (desirable, but not essential).

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach French to KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring an engaging and challenging curriculum.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
• Contribute to planning and preparing lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall language learning experience.
