Working hard to manage the supply and availability of this stock throughout the UK is our Fresh Produce department, who are now looking for a vigilant and highly organised individual to join their fast-paced team for a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.With a keen eye for detail, you will be responsible for the accuracy of our daily stock situation, liaising with our Regional Distribution Centres and suppliers to ensure the smooth running of the Fruit & Veg process, responding to any issues as they arise.In return, we’ll give you a competitive salary based on equal opportunity and pay structures, as well as a generous benefits package designed to support your well-being and life outside of Lidl.We’re proud to be a diverse, secure and fast-growing business, so we’ll make sure you have access to the right training and real opportunities to build your career as well.What you'll doActing as the first point of contact for all regional offices and taking charge of incoming emails and Microsoft Teams queriesRegular communication with suppliers and RDCs regarding all freshness related enquiriesUpdating, maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of pricing information using our bespoke systems (WAWI)Ensuring stock discrepancies are managed through our bespoke ordering systemRegular liaison with our Head Office in Germany as well as other internal departmentsDealing with quality issues as they are reportedInvestigating invoice discrepancies and other ad-hoc administrative tasksSaturday and Sunday work is required on a rotation basis to support and monitor the weekend F&V process (approximately every 6 weeks and time is given back in lieu)What you'll needFluency in English both written and verbal is essentialStrong Word and Excel skills with a genuine interest in working with numbersA confident ‘can do’ attitude with a genuine enthusiasm for working in a busy deadline-driven team environmentHave a professional telephone manner and the ability to remain polite while being assertive when necessaryPossess an outstanding eye for detailExperience working in fast paced roleStrong analytical and numerical skillsExcellent organisation and communication skillsThe ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlinesFlexibility to work weekendsGerman language skills would be desirable but not essentialWhat you'll receive30 days holiday (pro rata)10% in-store discountSabbaticalEnhanced family leavePension schemePlus, more of the perks you deserveDisclaimer: due to the high volume of applications we receive, we reserve the right to close a vacancy earlier than the advertised date.
