Frontend Developer

A vibrant and growing online only international school is seeking a Front-End Developer for a full-time permanent role. The position is paying circa £50,000 per annum and is fully remote (from within the UK).The organisation is an online only school with close to 10,000 students globally benefiting from a first-class online education. The school is part of a bigger educational group of premium schools, comprising of over 100 schools in 20 countries. The online students benefit from this unique global connectivity. The role represents a chance to join a high-calibre development team working on cutting edge education technology products.The organisation have established a new role for a Front-End Developer to continue development of their enterprise IT platform for students, parents & teachers and the organisation overall.As part of the technology team, and reporting to the Senior Developer, you will be responsible for:Contributing to the development of web applications in React Interactive User Interfaces.Developing key applications in Microsoft Azure cloud platform using .NET Core, DevOps, and private API development, serverless and messaging architectures, public and private networking, relational and non-relational databases, and automated testing technologies.To work across all IT development projects.Develop according to allocated backlog priorities as assigned by senior developers and business analysts in DevOps.Ensure that key Agile principles are kept to, including unit test coverage, integration test coverage, quality assurance, continuous improvement, and peer review.Work across the development team with senior developers and business analysts on allocation of work, capacity, technical designs, implementation, and evolution of development methods.Provide IT project delivery advice to ensure strategies, approaches, dependencies, relationships, risks, and issues are being managed correctlyCreate, maintain, and regularly review documentation in DevOpsCandidate requirements:Solid React development experience gained working with web applications through full application development lifecycle.Demonstrable experience of developing software solutions in React, C#, HTML, SQL, JavaScript, CSS.Experience in Microsoft Azure focused agile software environments using source control, through build automation, merge resolution, CI, test automation, deployment based on tools usage and policies, standardsIn-depth familiarity with solution design and delivery in technologies such as:.Net/.Net Core/C#/React/CSSAzure technologies including Docker/Elastic Stack/Azure KubernetesData/Systems Integration – experience at integrating complex data systems using Microsoft SQL server backendsKnowledge of common architectural patterns – particularly API-driven design and microservices.Knowledge of solution design, development, and delivery in complex environmentsThe role would be best suited for a talented and ambitious Front-End Developer, strong in both React and .NET / C#.
