Job Title: Fibre Build Engineer

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Fibre Engineer to join this dynamic team. As a FTTB Build Engineer, you will be responsible for installing fibre optic cables, carrying out equipment installations, and ensuring the efficient and reliable connectivity of networks. If you are a self-driven individual with a passion for telecomms engineering, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install fibre optic cables, both underground and overhead, to deliver high-speed connectivity solutions.
  • Conduct equipment installations, including connection boxes, closures, and CBT's, ensuring proper functioning and durability.
  • Strap and label fibre optic cables to ensure proper organisation and easy maintenance.
  • Collect data to evaluate network performance and troubleshoot any connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement FTTP engineering strategies, contributing to the continuous improvement of our networks.

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in installing fibre optic cable and conducting equipment installations.
  • Strong understanding of fibre optic strapping and labelling techniques.
  • Proficient in data collection and analysis to assess network performance.
  • Knowledge of FTTP Network Build principles and best practises.
  • Experience working with schematic and duct diagrams.
  • Confident working heights and in the underground network.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results.
  • NRSWA Street works accreditation, Openreach PIA accreditation, MEWP accreditation.
