They've managed to grow steadily and sustainably since then, maintaining profitability from early on. They've now taken on their first round of investment to drive expansion in to North America, presenting new challenges around scale.They build a relatively simple product, but with a lot of complexity under the hood. They've a lot of unsolved technical problems to tackle and new user-facing features to build, so are expanding their engineering team.The team have a polyglot culture with freedom to choose the right tool for the job. Today they've a mix of: Rust (new code), Ruby on Rails (old code), TypeScript, React. They're moving away from their monolith, and building smaller services which communicate through an Event-Driven Architecture.
