Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Title: Full Stack Software EngineerWork Arrangement: Cardiff (Hybrid 1 day a week)Rate Payable to Contractors: £400 per dayDuration of Assignment: 6 monthsNumber of Persons Required: 2Role Description:This key role within the IT Run team at Admiral involves working on the Engineering Maturity project to develop in-house applications and create dashboards for reporting. This role provides access to cutting-edge technology and has a significant impact on the project's success.Key Responsibilities:Work on assigned user stories and subtasks prioritized in the backlog, delivering within an Agile methodology.Attend daily scrum calls and PI calls as needed.Report progress to the Scrum Lead on a daily basis.Participate in requirement gathering and analyze and understand the existing landscape. Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:At least 5 years of relevant experience.Experience developing REST web services in Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.Web development experience using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.Unit test experience with jUnit, Mockito, and Jest.Experience with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL.Proficiency with development tools such as Git, Maven, npm, etc.Experience with Cloud Technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, ideally Azure DevOps.Experience with Docker and Terraform.Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
