Job Title: Full Stack DeveloperLocation: LondonJob Type: Part-Time, ContractBusiness Leader is seeking a full-stack developer to join its growing team. The role requires frontend and backend web development abilities, including design, testing, version control, build, deployment and operations, with experience working in Wordpress, PHP, HTML, CSS and Javascript.The successful candidate will work with our design, marketing and content teams to elevate and enhance the experience for our readers and members. Experience working in a media company or on a content-led website would be preferable, as would the ability to work autonomously.This is initially a part-time, fixed-term contract with the potential to become a longer term role. We are looking for candidates who can start immediately.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious team as we gear up for rapid growth in the coming months. Key responsibilitiesLead the redevelopment and redesign of our content website, modernising its structure and functionality while ensuring a smooth user experience.Maintain and enhance website performance and scalability during and after the redesign process.Create beautiful, performant and accessible front-end website designs using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and related libraries.Ensure seamless integration between front-end and back-end components of the technology stack.Collaborate closely with the design team to enhance the overall design experience and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the website aligns with business goals and incorporates new features and design trends.Regularly consult with team members on deliverables to ensure work meets project requirements before launching.Conduct quality assurance, testing and proofing on project deliverables.Using progressive enhancement and mobile-first approaches to create experiences that work everywhere and for everyone.Accessibility – support all browsers with core content, ensure compliance with screen readers, in accordance with WAI standards, etc.Work on API integrations and maintain connectivity between different services and third-party platforms to optimise performance and scalability.Technologies you’ll be familiar withExpertise in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery to build responsive and user-friendly interfaces.Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js is a plus.Understanding of UX/UI principles and ability to translate design concepts into functional interfaces.Figma to enable close collaboration with our design teams Strong experience with server-side technologies, including PHP, SQL and MySQL for database management.Ability to leverage HubSpot API to connect with internal systems and streamline workflows.Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to debug and optimise both client-side and server-side code.About Business LeaderBusiness Leader is a membership organisation that helps the CEOs of mid-sized business fast-forward their growth.
