One of the leading educational establishments in North Wales, has an opportunity for a Funding Administration Assistant to join its friendly team based in Llangefni, Anglesey in a temporary full time position up until the end of Feb 2025.

Reporting to the Department Manager, you will be supporting the team assisting with a range of grant funded large and smaller projects: 

As a Funding Assistant your main responsibilities will be to:


  • Ensure compliance with grant funding rules - accurately implement and adhere to the funding rules, ensuring all financial and non-financial evidence complies with requirements
  • Data Management and accuracy - maintain and operate EFU Unit systems, ensuring that all data related to project claims is accurate, and complete
  • Identify and exclude ineligible claims from submissions to maintain compliance
  • Support audit and compliance efforts - assisting with internal and external compliance audits by preparing and submitting accurate supporting evidence for claims
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders - working closely with project managers, staff, and external stakeholders to gather and verify the necessary evidence to support grant claims

We are keen to see your CV if you have the following skills and experience:


  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to hold a intermediate / fluent  conversation through the medium of Welsh
  • Educated to level 2 with a good general standard of education to include GCSE at Grade C, or above, in English and Maths, or equivalent
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Office 
  • Ability to work as a team member and be flexible, adaptable, and approachable
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure
  • Ability to work in a confidential manner
  • Ability to travel to different sites as and when required
  • A Current Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willing to undertake a DBS check is essential

This is a full- time role working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday until the end of February 2025.   In exchange, you will receive an hourly payrate of up to £12.67 per hour dependent on skills & experience.
