Funds Lawyer

Our customer, an Investment Service company in the UK, is looking for a Funds Lawyer for an interim 3-to-4-month hybrid contract position based in London.Specific duties to be undertaken in the role:General legal advice and services to all group companies as required, including support for commercial contract drafting and negotiation including NDAs, service level agreements, intragroup agreements, secondment agreements, IT agreements and general procurement agreements for US, Bermuda and UK offices.Drafting and reviewing policy wordings and new product development for various insurance business lines under US and UK law.Supporting the Claims department and underwriters in the resolution of coverage queries and disputes and the Compliance function in relation to complaints handling.Assisting with any other projects as may be identified from time to time for which legal involvement is requested or required.Key Requirements (Must Haves):experience working within an insurer, broker, or law firm environment, advising on insurance matters and general commercial agreements.Funds Experience - structuring, establishment, management, marketing and restructuring of onshore and offshore private fundsExperience advising on general corporate, regulatory and compliance matters and service provider documentation for investment funds and their managers,Experience across Financial Services (specifically investment and asset management) in the U.K. & Europe and worked on and structured both regulated and unregulated fundsAbout ElevateElevate provides consulting, technology and services to law departments and law firms across the globe.
