Furnace Operator - Iron Foundry

Our client produce Iron Castings for various industries and are recruiting for the following:

Furnace Operator / Overhead Crane licence preferred but not essential

• AM Shift - 05.00am - 13.00 pm Monday to Friday


• Overtime available (Weekdays/Weekends)


• Duration of assignment - TEMP TO PERM (12 WEEK TRIAL PERIOD)

Main Duties:

The duties of a�Furnace Operator�include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring furnace operations to make sure that temperatures are within safe limits and adjusting controls as needed


• Monitoring the quality of raw materials entering the furnace to ensure they meet standards for chemical composition and physical properties such as density and particle size distribution


• Maintaining records of all heating cycles performed


• Performing regular maintenance on furnaces


• Observing the furnace during operation to ensure that it is operating properly and safely
